News Briefs: Miami University Students Fined $500 Each For Having A Good Time

The CCPVirus hysteria refuses to die, even as the virus itself recedes from public view. In the latest example of college craziness over the influenza-like illness, Miami University students were fined $500 apiece for having a "house party" despite having tested positive for CCPVirus:

Students at Ohio's Miami University, who had previously tested positive for coronavirus, were caught on camera breaking quarantine rules by hosting a large house party over Labor Day weekend.

Oxford Police Department officers broke up the party, which violated health restrictions that prohibit gatherings of more than 10 people, and found several students unmasked and drinking on the front porch.

College students gathering, drinking, and being generally...well...college students. Shocking!

Left unreported is the reality that, according to Ohio's own data, hospitalizations due to CCPVirus are on the decline and have been.

The school is fretting over a public health crisis the data shows no longer exists (if it ever existed).

Update:

Miami University is not the only school with a partying "problem." Similar "reckless" behavior is being reported at Florida State and the University of Kansas.

As college campuses around the country struggle with coronavirus outbreaks, videos and photos posted Saturday showed what appeared to be students attending large parties — with no social distancing and few masks — coinciding with the return of football at Florida State University and the University of Kansas.

College students are determined to have a good time. The horror!
